1948
The Worlds First Drive thru was invented. Drive-through windows were a method first tested as far back as 1931 by the Texas Pig Stand chain. In-n-Out Burger claims to have built the first drive-through restaurant in 1948. Harry and Esther Snyder, the chain's founders, built their first restaurant in Baldwin Park, California, with a two-way speaker to enable patrons to order directly from their cars without the intermediation of a carhop.
1925-2012
Since the property was first build in 1925, it's as if fate led to the beginnings of Zipz which were finally born on the historic occasion in the Winter of 2012. An historic occasion commenced and in celebration of purchasing the property, a sledge hammer was thrown through the old front window.
2014
Zipz officially opens! Over the next two years, construction started and plans were made to give Bear Lake a renewed look at the middle of town. Instead of sneers and judgement being cast at the old deserted property, people can now look to Zipz as a place of great food, family fun, awesome fast drive thru service, and one of the best atmosphere's to sit, eat and relax in the heart of Garden City.
